HEIDI JOHNSON

Johnson is an accomplished public relations strategist, artist manager, and self­-made entrepreneur, and the driving force behind Hijinx, which she founded over 15 years ago in Los Angeles.

With her work in the entertainment industry, public relations, community relations, event and communication planning, and the art/design world for over twenty years, she amassed the perfect blend of experiences and skills to create Hijinx PR. She continues to grow with the company, understanding the importance of evolving with the industry. 

Johnson has worked as the publicist for art shows including the LA Art Show and DesignerCon, a variety of galleries, and some of the art world’s most beloved artists including Tristan Eaton, Robbie Conal, and Hueman just to name a few. Thanks to Johnson’s impeccable relationships with LA Magazine, LA Weekly, Juxtapoz, Hi Fructose, KCRW, CNN, KCET, The LA Times, the Huffington Post, and more, Hijinx continues to expand and flourish. 

JACOB PATTERSON

As the director of Think Tank Productions (2010-2020), Patterson has been embedded in the Immersive and Experiential design scene for over a decade. He’s produced, directed, and built festivals and content reaching millions of guests. During that time, brand marketing transformed, focusing more on memorable experiences than advertising impressions.

Patterson has joined Hijinx to adapt traditional methods into a new marketing landscape, bringing his expertise in live and online events, installation knowhow, and production innovation to Hijinx clients. DANIELLE DAWSON

Dawson plays a part in all things Hijinx! As the company’s go-to project manager, she is responsible for a myriad of tasks that keep the well-oiled PR machine going. From client facing responsibilities, to reports, and the newsletters that keep our community engaged, Dawson is an integral part of the Hijinx operation. A recent graduate of Seattle University, she uses her Media & Communications degree and impressive Social Media/Marketing experience on a daily basis in service of our clients, the Hijinx team, and the greater art community.

GRACE SLANSKY

Slansky is responsible for the majority of the writing that comes out of Hijinx, including these very words! With a varied background in Marketing, Licensing, Copywriting, and more, she is able to pull from previous experience and current clients’ wishes to create cohesive material to best serve the Hijinx mission.
