ANITA KUNZ’ ART IS HONORED WITH ONE OF FIVE STAMPS IN NEW SERIES ISSUED BY THE CANADA POST
With a career spanning 40 years, Anita Kunz has become one of the most prolific and well-recognized published artists in Canada and the world, having created over 50 book covers and world-famous magazines. In April 2018, the Canada Post paid honor to Kunz and four other Canadian artists by featuring their work in a series of 5 stamps. “Best Friends,” a piece Kunz completed in 2012, is now available for purchase as a stamp on the Canadian Postage Stamps website.
Most recently, Kunz has been focused on a new series of gallery works, exploring what the art world look like if the great paintings produced throughout our collective history (by daVinci, Picasso, Goya, Bacon, et all) had been created by women instead of men. The answer is a beautiful (and tongue-in-cheek) body of new works called REDUX, that only Kunz herself could produce, paying homage to some of the most iconic pieces in the history of art.
More information will be released as it’s confirmed.
